Interchange Plaza

An ordinary day, in the futuristic urban landscape adorned with soaring architectural marvels and interwoven thoroughfares that pulse with life. Luminescent streams of data flow like veins, connecting minds and machines in a symphony of technological harmony, intertwining human ingenuity with the pulse of a thriving metropolis. Amidst this transcendent tableau, a profound contemplation lingers—an unspoken dialogue between the organic and the fabricated, the eternal and the ephemeral.

All forms of transportation converge. The inspiration came from my hometown, named Zhuzhou, known as the “City Brought by Trains,” being an important transportation hub in China. I transformed it into a soaring city that reaches for the sky, filled with fantasies of the future.

The original file has 164 layers. I carefully designed and animated the girl's movement, almost drawing it frame by frame.

A significant portion of our lives is filled with repetitive actions like eating, sleeping, washing, and walking. Yet, within these everyday moments, lie charming instances of beauty. Blowing bubbles with gum is a simple gesture. I aim for it to evoke a lively and endearing atmosphere, providing a sense of ease.

The large sign in the center reads "中心广场" (Central Square), which is the liveliest place in my city. I used to pass through it every week while walking to my violin lessons, always anxious about not having practiced enough and fearing my teacher's reprimands. There are billboards advertising "Coconut Pudding," and one for "Night".

One of the smallest details - a tiny white object hanging by the window - I remember once making a Sunny Doll after watching Japanese cartoons with a ping pong ball and napkin, hoping for a rain-free day tomorrow.

On the screen is the iconic album cover of Macintosh Plus. I drew it as a tribute to Vaporwave, a genre that played a significant role in shaping my artistic journey and understanding.

This piece is filled with nostalgic emotions and fantasies. But it's also just a scene of an ordinary day. I hope that when you see it, it brings a smile to your face.
